Corus kousa
This tree that has been claimed as Korean, Chinese and Japanese Dogwood as it is beloved by all, puts on an incredible display while blooming. White bracts appear as large four-petaled flowers surrounding the actual small yellow flowers that later become a globose pink-red fruit. The fruit is said to be sweet and creamy and has been used to make wine. Leaves turn a deep red in the fall becoming yet another feature of interest.
