Pinus cembra
Slow growing with a pyramidal form. Popular for bonsais. Growing needles in bundles of fives, it is considered a member of the white pine group. Drought resistant once established. Cones are formed after 50 years of growth. Seeds are edible for the very patient, long-lived or lucky.
