Aronia melanocarpa
Commonly known as Black Chokeberry, named after its very astringent taste that can cause the mouth to pucker. This native fruit has been called a super food, very high in anti-oxidants, flavonoids, anthrocyanin and minerals. Makes fantastic preserves and highly prized healing juice. Full sun to partial shade. Does best in moist soils.
