Malus domestica
A glossy, bi-coloured apple, mostly red with yellow streaks. Medium sized, similar to red delicious. Has quickly become one of the favourite apples to grow and consume in Canada. Keeps its crisp texture better if kept in cold storage or the refrigerator. The origin of this apple is a bit mysterious as it appeared in an orchard in the Similkameen valley as a seedling and not as the result of a breeding program.
