Prunus spes.
A cross between a plum and a cherry, the fruit is small, sweet and juicy with yellow flesh. Adds a little excitement and wonder to the food forest project or is helpful to the indecisive gardener who wants the best of both worlds. Needs the company of another chum or wild cherry for pollination. Prefers soil that has lots of humus and is not clay based. Requires good drainage so avoid areas that flood for extended periods in spring.
