Lonicera caerulea
Of mysterious origins, these sweet 2cm long berries are named for a relationship to gin rather than a mythical connection to the gin fairy. They come out of the harsh winters of Russia and are some of the most robust fruit that can be grown. The early fruiting habit makes a harvest possible in areas with a short growing season. They require a friend of a slightly different sub-species for pollination.
